On this day 5 months ago, or 3 months and one hour later I left VNG.

No matter how everybody says about it, one leaves a company by either laying off or they don't want to be there anymore. Laying off is a better version of "being fired"

I was laid off on March 13, Friday. That's why they call it Friday 13 the unlucky day? Bullshit, it's the day I felt most lucky. My last day in VNG was actually March 20. Just like how I got into VNG, my first working day was 17 and my contract is 19. Fuck HR for all those things you do. It's a surprised you still treat people that way in 21st century and 2nd decade.

I left because the company had no positions that could fit me after many changes in organization. After changes, people got laid off, everytime. I had been under many changes there, I knew it was coming. I was still considered a good employee by HR and that they felt bad letting me go. Just like they feel bad letting anybody go? I don't know for sure but I would think twice when I listen to them. Maybe more than twice....

How do one leave a company after 8 years? In the end everybody got laid of. Laying off. It was a good push. I knew I was ending my time in VNG long before that but I didn't have the courage to leave. I was afraid of other worlds, guess that's how big corporate makes you (a good thing in many cases though). I didn't want to leave the company I wanted to get old with. But in the end every body got laid off (Hint: it's about changes), so I read in a book at that time . Once I accepted nothing lasts forever, I felt excited about.

That's how I left. With excitement.

Edited: Fuck HR and everything they say. You're scammers no less.

Edited 2: I posted this because I hate speculation on how I left, good or bad. It's not really a cry but a statement of the truth I'd undergone when I left. It's not necessarily directed toward the VNG, since it may be worse with other companies. Just that as an employee, one should embrace it the cold when you become nobody. It's still a good company to start your career with, just not the only and the best anymore.

Laid off on Friday March 13

They call Friday 13 an unlucky day. Bullshit — it's the day I felt most lucky. Left VNG after 8 years. With excitement.
