Help needed pairing Paretroplus maculatus

Need help on pairing/breeding of the Paretroplus maculatus:

Last night I noticed they did the courting and put a security camera on the tank to follow (hence the low quality). They clearly tried to find a spot. The pot I put in the left corner long ago seems too small (I just place a bigger one in). The male Heros appendiculatus appeared to intervene.

This was the second time they tried, both unsuccessful. I’m thinking if this can be improved anyhow? Inside the tank there’s a pair of H.appendiculatus that’s spawned several times and a juvenile of the same species.

Second video: the moment they stopped it. Pair seems to have some disagreements. They stayed like that all the time.
