App review: 123phim

1. Location Tab: from 182 Le Dai Hanh to Hung Vuong Plaza is only 1.7 km and 6 minutes per Google Maps. 123phim says: 3.8 km and 15 minutes.
1b. No directions to the cinema.
1c. Megastar's brand name is not "MegaStar."
2. Theaters and their films: the info isn't accurate. Silver Linings Playbook at Parkson HV shows in 2D Digital (Megastar Picks); 123phim shows neither the Digital nor the Megastar Picks info. 2D Digital is clearly different from 2D, and Megastar Picks is for cinephiles. Similarly, the Oz info doesn't distinguish 3D, 3D ATMOS, 2D Digital. Normally Megastar treats different formats of the same film as different films (they may share a screening time in different halls), so lumping them all under "Oz" makes them indistinguishable. More importantly, picture quality varies significantly across formats, and the app doesn't help you if you want to watch 3D ATMOS.
2b. Ticket prices are wrong. Example, Silver Linings Playbook: 17:10 showing at Megastar HV, web price is VIP 95k, standard 90k, couple 280k, but 123phim shows 120k — no idea what price that is. On top of that, you need to be able to pick among different seat types like this, because it also affects the viewing experience.
3. Add a movie to "must-watch" and it lands in "favorites." Those two aren't the same thing :).
4. Film runtime info is wrong (cross-checked with IMDB for Star Trek Into Darkness and Iron Man 3).
5. Promotions section still shows old info — probably still testing.
6. Display IMDB ratings please. Link to IMDB? Open IMDB movie by same title?
7. Can't rate films yet (demo?).
8. No director info.
9. All the links in 123phim's feed posts are broken.

Overall the app is OK; the most important parts — booking, payment, ticket — aren't there yet so I can't judge :D. Without those, or without really nailing those, it's just like the IMDB app but worse.
